WATERPOLO
History:
The water polo is a water sport.
A team comprises six players and a goalkeeper.

The rules of water polo are from the nineteenth century in Britain by William Wilson.
The modern game originated as a form of rugby and soccer played on rivers and lakes in England and Scotland with a ball.
Each 2 to 4 years since 1973, organizes the World Swimming Championships.
A second tournament of the series, tha Fina Water Polo World Cup has been celebrating since 1979.
This "water rugby" came to be called "water polo" in the English pronunciation.
The first British championships were played in 1888.
In 1890, the first international match played waterpolo: Scotland vs. England, 4-0.

- Arc position: It's the position of waterpolo team.
- Boia: Is the the player who stay in the centre of arc position in the water.
- Extrems: Are two players who they are next to clubs.
- Pals: Are two players who they are in front of the clubs, in the centre of pool.
- Revers: It's the shot that is pulled back with half.
- Busing: Sinks the ball, and then the ball is thrown with the elbow in the air.
- Suec: Gets the ball above the hand and was struck on the fingers.

My favourite star competitor is Manuel Estiarte Duocastella born in Manresa, Barcelona in 26 of October of 1961, his a waterpolo player from Catalunya.
He measures 1.73 m. and played for the attacker.
He has played 580 international matches, and marked 1,561 goals.
He came to play the year 1975 and withdrawal to 2000
It is also known as: el Maradona del agua, el delfín goleador or el mago de las piscinas.
With 19 years debuted in the 1980 Moscow Olympics, where he attained the title of top scorer, who repeated in the Los Angeles Olympic Games and 1984 Olympic Games in Seoul 1988.
From 2000 to 2006 he was a member of the International Olympic Committee and in 2001 received the Prince of Asturias Award for Sports.

Competitions:
The competition's largest water polo is the Fina Water Polo World League.
In 2006 the competition was held in Athens, Serbia and Montenegro won the gold medal, the silver Spain, Greece and the bronze in the male category.
In female category, the United States won the gold medal, Italy the silver and Russia the bronze.
